β οΈ Four pitfalls to avoid
Don't make it too easy. "Run 5km" doesn't inspire sponsors. The stretch is the story β pick something that genuinely sounds hard for your child's age.
Don't skip the midpoint update. 60% of total donations come during the challenge, not at launch. Quiet challenges die β share progress every 3β4 days.
Don't let it run too long. 2β6 weeks is the sweet spot. Longer than that and donor attention fades; shorter and you can't build momentum.
Always finish loudly. Even if you fall short of the target, post a celebration message with the final result and total raised. The thank-you is what makes people sponsor the next one.
